Send a copy of the page that has your picture and personal information.  

If you are already in the United States on a visa, please provide a copy of your visa documents.

 U.S. residents should provide a copy of their permanent resident card.

Proof of high school graduation or university attendance

(All applicants)

Please send a copy translated into English of a diploma, transcript, or letter from your school. Documents do not need to be notarized.

Proof of financial eligibility to study in the United States
(Student visa applicants only)

Send a copy translated into English of your bank statement, bank letter, or scholarship letter. It must include the following information:

• The name of the account holder
• The date the document was issued (cannot be older than three months)
• The amount of money in the account. If you are planning to study for 1 session, you must show a minimum bank balance of $15,331 USD. You will need a bank balance of $31,541 USD to get an I-20 for the whole program.
• If you have a sponsor that is a citizen or resident of the USA, he or she must include a copy of the sponsorship form with the bank statement. (Please email our office for a copy of the form.)
• Applicants for an I-20 must also submit an I-20 Request Form with their bank statement.

(Full-time students only)

You will need to submit these required documents after registering for classes using your myVCU portal.

$170 application and placement test fee
