Information for High School Counselors and ESL teachers
Often English language learners (ELLs) need to enhance their academic English skills, particularly their academic literacy, to increase their chances of admission to the university or their general language proficiency for personal or work purposes.
The ELP at VCU welcomes non-native English speakers who are permanent residents or US citizens. Some high school ELL students may be interested in the highly ranked degree programs at VCU, and wish to improve their chances for admission.
The ELP at VCU can meet their needs and propel them toward their academic and life goals.
