Many undergraduate and graduate programs in the United States require non-native English speakers to pass the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) before they begin their studies. The Mastering TOEFL course offered in the English Language Program at Virginia Commonwealth University can help you to prepare for the exam in an engaging environment.

Option 1 (12 weeks)

June 26 - August 16, 2017
Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 1:30 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Mastering TOEFL is designed to help English language learners improve academic and cultural background knowledge, develop vocabulary, improve reading, listening, speaking, and writing skills, and prepare for specific tasks on the TOEFL Institutional Testing Program (ITP) as well as the IBT (internet-based test).

The course includes detailed analyses and intensive practice for all four test components: reading, listening, speaking, and writing. Using various tools, students will become aware of testing strategies to help improve their TOEFL scores, while strengthening their knowledge and understanding of the English for successful use.
