International students receive Business Services Scholarships
Three Virginia Commonwealth University international students were recently awarded VCU International Student Scholarships by VCU Department of Business Services in recognition of their involvement in organizations or activities that provide contributions to VCU through scholarship, service and leadership. Polina Beloborodova, Silas Contaifer and Svea Sturm were each awarded scholarships of $5,000 for use in the fall 2022 semester.

Universidad de Guadalajara delegation visit to VCU fuels collaborations
A delegation of faculty and administrators from the Universidad de Guadalajara in Mexico visited VCU to discuss collaborations between the two institutions. Hosted by the VCU Global Education Office, the delegation met with university leadership, faculty and staff to learn more about the innovative programs offered to students, staff and faculty.

100K Strong in the Americas grant funds study abroad collaboration
VCU’s Global Education Office and the School of Education, in collaboration with Universidad de Guadalajara in Mexico and Universidad el Bosque in Colombia, were awarded two 100K Strong in Americas Innovation Fund grants to conduct a multi-faceted virtual and in-person study abroad program this summer. The program focuses on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) in education along with English language support, and offers 24 students a unique opportunity for a combination of study abroad and online learning.

VCU Globe celebrates final graduates and high achievements
VCU Globe celebrated its seventh and final graduation ceremony on Friday, March 25. The graduating class of 97 students received certificates for completing the program's requirements, and multiple program achievements over nine years were touted and celebrated.
