Blondin elected as AIEA board member
Richmond, VA (April 5, 2023) — Virginia Commonwealth University’s Jill Blondin, Ph.D., associate vice provost for global initiatives, was recently elected as a board member of the Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA) during the 2023 AIEA Annual Conference held in Washington, D.C. in February.
Blondin will serve as the Member Outreach and Awards Chair for the 2023-24 year, a role that will allow her to assist with membership recruitment strategies, awards selection, and enhancement of member benefits. Blondin has been a member of AIEA for nine years, and while fulfilling this first-time leadership appointment within the organization, is excited to work with fellow board members as they lead international higher education initiatives.
“AIEA does so much for the field of international education and its leaders, and it is an honor to serve the organization in this capacity.”
The Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA) is an association dedicated exclusively to senior leaders in the field of international education. AIEA members are senior international officers who serve as leaders of higher education institutions and of organizations that support international higher education. As leaders at their institutions, AIEA members are interested in examining the broad issues in international higher education.
The 2023 AIEA Annual Conference provided an understanding of broad issues in international higher education from a variety of perspectives of fellow international higher education (IHE) leaders. Attendees of the conference were able to address these broad issues, challenges and opportunities facing international education leaders in 2023 and beyond.
